Preparing the ATF and MOTOREX DYNCO 2.0

Information on the transmission volumes and the required automatic transmission oil can be found in the vehicle manufacturer's documentation or with the help of the MOTOREX OIL FINDER

Make sure that the fresh oil reservoir contains enough ATF to perform the automatic transmission flush.

Recommendation: Add an additional two liters to the required volume.

The indicator lights must be clearly visible during automatic transmission flushing.

  • Position the fresh oil container in the canister compartment of the DYNCO 2.0 ("NEW")

  • Position the used oil container in the canister compartment of the DYNCO 2.0 ("EXH")

  • Connect the DYNCO 2.0 to the vehicle battery; connect the black terminal to the negative pole ( - ) and the red terminal to the positive pole ( + ).

The DYNCO 2.0 switches on as soon as it is connected to the vehicle battery.

Before flushing the automatic transmission, make sure that the correct oil type is shown on the start display. The MOTOREX DYNCO 2.0 is supplied with pre-programmed MOTOREX lubricants. This programming contains, among other things, the specific weights that the DYNCO 2.0 requires to provide the set oil quantities for flushing depending on the temperature.

If the wrong oil type is displayed, this can be corrected in the "OIL TYPE" menu item.

OIL TYPE / Oil type change

  • Select the required oil in the "OIL TYPE" menu and confirm.

  • Insert the hoses of the DYNCO 2.0 into the waste oil canister and start the flushing process by pressing "START".

  • Follow the instructions on the screen as described in "PRIMING". (After selecting the oil, the DYNCO 2.0 switches to the "PRIMING" menu).

Preparing the vehicle

Always check the ATF level with the engine running, taking into account the temperature of the fluid and the manufacturer's specifications.

  • After driving the vehicle briefly so that the automatic transmission fluid is at operating temperature, drive onto the lift and place the selector lever in the park position (P).

  • Check or read out the fluid level of the automatic transmission.

Connecting the DYNCO 2.0 to the automatic transmission

Tips and adapter suggestions can be found on the MOTOREX DYNCO homepage, when logged in, under adapter applications.

  • Depending on accessibility and connection type, disconnect the line from the connection point on the automatic transmission or from the connection point on the radiator.

  • Connect one of the two DYNCO 2.0 hoses to the transmission side using a suitable adapter.

  • Connect the second DYNCO 2.0 hose to the transmission line that has just been removed.

Flushing programs

The MOTOREX DYNCO 2.0 has two flushing programs:

  • Normal automatic transmission flushing ATF EXCHANGE,

  • Automatic transmission flushing for automatic transmissions classified as LOW FLOW.

ATF exchange

To ensure that the flushing process runs smoothly, the temperature of the automatic transmission fluid should be at least 40 ยฐC.

  • Select the "ATF EXCHANGE" menu

  • The device will ask whether the selector lever is in the "P" position. You can confirm this with OK.

  • You have the option of entering the license plate number (this will appear later on the DYNCO 2.0 printout)

  • In the next window, you can specify how much oil should be used for flushing.

  • The DYNCO 2.0 will ask you if you want to use a flushing additive. If you do not want this, press "SKIP"

  • The automatic transmission is now flushed fully automatically by the MOTOREX DYNCO 2.0.

Low Flow

The "LOW FLOW" function is used with automatic transmissions from AISIN WARNER (8-speed transmission, transverse installation / status at the time these operating instructions were written). In this type of transmission, the flow to the heat exchanger is not regulated by a thermostat but by a servo valve. This reduces the flow rate and thus prevents the MOTOREX DYNCO 2.0 from detecting the direction of flow.

  • Select the "LOW FLOW" menu

  • The device will ask whether the selector lever is in position "P" and a brake servo is fitted.

Correcting the oil level after gearbox flushing

It may happen that the ATF level control indicates an automatic transmission oil level that is too low or too high after flushing. The oil level can be corrected with the MOTOREX DYNCO 2.0, which is still connected.

The "FLUID TOP UP" and "FLUID DRAIN" processes are identical, which is why only the refilling process is shown here in the image sequence.

The exact specific weight/volume curve of the various ATF oils is stored in the DYNCO software. The DYNCO is supplied with pre-programmed MOTOREX lubricants.

  • After selecting the menu item "FLUID TOP UP" or "FLUID DRAIN", you can enter the amount of level correction and start the process with "START".

  • This is followed by a screen showing the progress of the work.

  • Completion of the process is indicated by "Process completed".

  • With "FLUID TOP UP", you have the option of repeating the process at the end. You will be asked again how much you want to top up. If you do not want to do this, press "SKIP"

Top up from bottle

This function allows you to fill in a minimum quantity of ATF from any type of container when the engine is switched on or off.

Use pre-flush additive

Using the MOTOREX PRE-FLUSH flushing additive, the DYNCO cleaning program can ensure thorough, very clean cleaning even with heavily soiled automatic transmissions. During the cleaning program, the old automatic transmission oil is converted into a flushing oil. The flushing program is carried out automatically by the DYNCO for about 10 minutes.

  • Select the "ADDITIVE LOAD" menu

  • Fill MOTOREX PRE-FLUSH in the additional canister on the top of the DYNCO 2.0. You can determine the required quantity using the table on the PRE-FLUSH back label.

  • The menu program is fully automatic and on completion the menu view appears again.

Report on automatic transmission flushing

During the work cycle, the DYNCO 2.0 records the individual manipulations in a printout report. The printout contains the following points at the end of the gearbox flush:

in liters (acc. to the selection at the beginning)

Quantity of used liquid

in liters

Additive quantity

in liters

Temperature of the fluid

in ยฐC
